Brokerage Account Set Up

For accounts that:

1. Do no want to trade via the Internet, but wish to place trades themselves by phone, or
2. Accounts that wish to have a licensed representative at C&N Financial Services Corp. assist them with their account.

1. Contact C&N Financial Services Corp. at 866-275-2637 to have account paperwork mailed to you. Specify the type of account (e.g. individual, joint, IRA, Roth IRA, etc.)
2. Complete paperwork and return, with check if necessary, to C&N Financial Services Corp. at address below.
3. Please Note: You can settle your transactions by ACH or by using a money market fund within your brokerage account. The account must be a Citizens & Northern Bank account in order to use ACH. If you elect this option, the Bank's routing number is 031308302. UVEST defaults its money market fund selection to the Alliance Capital Reserve fund.
4. If you do not utilize the ACH settlement, then you need to enclose a check to fund your account. Make the check payable to UVEST. This should be enclosed with your paperwork when you mail your application if you want your account funded immediately. (Otherwise, see 8 below.)
5. UVEST (or Pershing, their clearing broker/dealer) will mail you a welcome letter that provides your account number.
6. You can place a trade by calling the UVEST trading desk directly at 800-277-7700 or by contacting a licensed representative of UVEST at C&N Financial Services Corp.
7. Trading cost is dependent upon the transaction requested. Have the trading desk confirm what the cost will be for your trade.
8. When you place a trade, the transaction will settle through the money market fund within your account or by ACH (see 3 and 4 above). If you are using a money market fund and you do not have enough money to cover the cost of the transaction, you will need to mail a check, payable to UVEST, to deposit to your brokerage account. Reference your brokerage account on your check and mail it directly to UVEST at the address below.
